The SMCC holds online press briefings for journalists for stories that are ongoing or need a bit of context. Any Canadian journalist can join; but when information is embargoed, we only allow registered media (you can register with us under the "For Media" tab above.)

Want to see full archives of our previous webinars? Visit our online portal and click "View Event Recordings", or check out the files below.

To join our webinars, it doesn't matter where you are: all you need is a good internet connection and either a phone or your computer speakers. When you join, you'll see slides and hear the discussion either via phone or your computer.
It's best to join about five minutes before the scheduled start, and allow about a minute for configuration. Please allow ActiveX download if prompted. If you're having any problems, you can call WebEx technical support at 1-866 229-3239, or the SMCC at 613-249-8209. If you can't stream media at your organization, you can still phone in to hear the discussion. Numbers will be provided in briefing announcements.
